Food security in China has greatly improved since the 1980s due to economic reforms. The main factors affecting food security are institutions, income inequalities, food safety concerns, and environmental issues. Corruption is a significant challenge that needs to be addressed to ensure sustainable food production. Innovative reforms to China's institutions are necessary to overcome these challenges and further improve food security in the country.
