The study aimed to improve elementary school students' ability to estimate lengths in math. Researchers taught students different estimation strategies and found that their understanding and skills improved. Students were able to use estimation strategies to reduce errors and explain their problem-solving logically. By using estimation, students improved their writing skills and were able to accurately estimate lengths.
