A new optimization algorithm was developed to find structural damage using vibrations. It combines random and precise methods to locate damage accurately and efficiently. The algorithm outperformed other methods like genetic algorithms and harmony search in accuracy and computational cost. This approach shows promise for diagnosing and assessing damage in structures.
