Climate change puts Quabbin Reservoir at 50% risk by 2066.
The researchers used a new method called bottom-up to assess the risks of climate change on water resources. Instead of starting with general climate models, they linked vulnerability assessment with climate data to evaluate the impact on the Quabbin Reservoir and the United States. The results showed that the risks of climate change impacts are around 20% in the near future and increase to 50% in the later years.
