Building services are important for modern buildings but can be challenging to install in historic buildings without causing damage. This study looked at how to adapt building services in conservation projects to minimize disruption. The researchers found that many historic buildings lack proper M&E systems. By studying three case studies, they discovered a lack of knowledge and discussion on installation techniques for building services in conservation projects. The report suggests improving the understanding and techniques for installing services in historic buildings to better preserve them in the future.
