Frozen buffalo semen could boost milk production and food security in developing nations
In this experiment, researchers wanted to see which of three different mixes helped keep buffalo semen healthy when frozen for artificial insemination. They looked at how the semen moved, its shape, and how alive the sperm were before and after the freezing process. They tested Tris-egg yolk, Botu-bov®, and ACP-111® mixtures. Results showed that Tris-egg yolk and Botu-bov® worked better for sperm movement, while ACP-111® was similar for sperm health when tested with advanced methods. This means that ACP-111® could also be a good choice for keeping buffalo semen in good shape when frozen.
