Groundnut crops in Odisha are not yielding as much as they could because they are taking out more nutrients from the soil than they are getting back. This is especially true with the use of high-yield seeds and unbalanced fertilizers. By studying how different nutrient management practices affect groundnut yield, researchers hope to find ways to increase production.
