Soil Moisture

An automatic irrigation system was developed to switch the pump motor ON/OFF based on soil moisture levels. A Soil Moisture Sensor module detects the moisture in the soil, adjusting sensitivity with a potentiometer. The sensor gives a HIGH output when moisture is high and LOW when it's low. It measures water content indirectly using properties like electrical resistance or dielectric constant. The system uses Arduino to read soil moisture levels and sends this information to a phone via a GSM module.
