New study reveals key factors shaping forest ecosystems in Western Himalayas!
The researchers studied the forests in Nandiar Valley, Western Himalayas, to see if the types of plants there are related to the climate, terrain, and soil. They found 325 different plant species in 80 areas, with the most diversity in the moist temperate zone. By analyzing the data, they identified eight different plant communities based on factors like slope aspect, wind speed, and soil pH. This information can help with conservation planning in not only Nandiar Valley but also in similar areas with the same environmental conditions.
