The article examines how Lithuania's foreign trade has evolved over time, especially after joining the European Union. The researchers analyzed export and import data from 1995 to 2008 using statistical analysis and the theory of constraints. They found that Lithuania's international trade grew significantly after gaining independence in 1991 and joining the EU. The study identified key issues hindering foreign trade and proposed ways to enhance its effectiveness. Overall, the research shows that Lithuania's trade volume increased more than fourfold between 1995 and 2009.
