The study looked at how much money people made from investing in a mix of different assets around the world between 1960 and 2017. They found that on average, investors made a real return of 4.45% per year, which is 3.39% higher than what they would have made if they had put their money in a risk-free investment. The returns varied depending on the currency used, ranging from 2.87% to 4.93%. The biggest drop in value that investors experienced was between 34.9% and 56.6%.
