Revolutionary Water Management Strategy Boosts Sustainability in River Basin
Water resources planning in the Hamoon-Jazmorian Basin was studied to balance water supply and demand. The researchers used a model called MODSIM to predict future water resources and demands. They compared historical data to the model's results to make sure it was accurate. Different scenarios were evaluated using sustainability indices focusing on water, environment, economy, and social aspects. Scenario 4, which involved project execution, demand management, and aquifer restoration, showed the best results for the basin's sustainability.
