A new tool was developed to analyze patents in the telecommunications sector. The tool helps estimate the value of patents and analyze patent portfolios. By analyzing patents related to Network Function Virtualization and Positioning Technology, the study identified trends in innovation and key players in the industry. The tool also helped map technology competences for M&A deals based on patent measures.
