The article presents a model for managing complex mechatronics projects by integrating project information with product development. The model represents design tasks, resources, product parameters, functions, and structure. It uses matrices to show dependencies within the product and process, helping designers identify gaps and improve the project model. The researchers applied this model to design an electric solar boat, showing how it can enhance project information.
