New potato varieties thrive in arid regions with adjusted planting dates!
Potato varieties were tested in arid regions to see how planting date affects yield. Different planting dates led to varying yields, with some varieties doing better than others. The temperature during the growing season played a big role in how well the potatoes grew. Some varieties produced more potatoes because they had more tubers, while others had heavier tubers. Certain varieties like Vivaldi, Carlita, Bydand, Donald, and Sterling were found to be good for growing in the Arabian Gulf. To make potato production more efficient, it might be better to plant later in the season, from mid December instead of mid November.
