New methods accurately predict ultimate pile capacity for stronger foundations!
The article discusses how to estimate the maximum capacity of piles used in construction by analyzing data from load tests. Different methods were compared to see which one gives the most accurate results. The study found that when piles are tested with high loads, all methods give accurate estimates of the maximum capacity. However, for piles tested with lower loads, most methods overestimate the capacity except for one called the Davisson method. Each method gives different estimates depending on the test load, and no single method is recommended for all cases.
