Psychopathic Traits Linked to Personality Extremes, Impacting Mental Health and Relationships
The study looked at how psychopathic traits relate to different aspects of personality in 545 college students. They found that boldness is linked to being less emotional and more outgoing, meanness is tied to being less honest and humble, and disinhibition is connected to being less conscientious. The researchers also discovered that the Triarchic model of psychopathy can predict certain behaviors better than the HEXACO model of personality. Overall, the results suggest that psychopathic traits are extreme versions of normal personality traits.
