City Energy Addiction Threatens Environment, Urgent Change Needed
Energy consumption in Australian cities is mainly fueled by coal and oil, which have significant environmental impacts. To address this, we need to switch to energy-efficient vehicles, appliances, and infrastructure, as well as reduce our overall energy demand. However, the second law of thermodynamics poses a challenge as usable energy is lost over time. Transitioning to energy-efficient and low-carbon societies requires changing our behaviors and finding sustainable energy sources.
