Plant cover affects military operations by influencing how easily vehicles can move through different types of vegetation. Military planners rely on analyzing vegetation to plan movements effectively. Different types of vegetation impact vehicle speed in various ways, depending on the structure of the canopy. The study focused on how vehicles can maneuver through forests, specifically near Strelice village in the Czech Republic, and determined the extent to which vehicle speed decreases in such terrain.
