New Canola Seed Rates Boost Crop Yield and Farming Efficiency!
A study was conducted to see how different amounts of seeds affect the growth and yield of canola plants. They tested two varieties of canola with seed rates of 4, 6, 8, and 10 kg per hectare. The results showed that using 10 kg of seeds per hectare led to the highest plant emergence, days to maturity, plant height, and yields. The variety Zahoor Swati had the highest emergence, while Durr-e-NIFA had the tallest plants and heaviest grains. Increasing the seed rate from 4 to 10 kg per hectare also increased the overall yield of both varieties.
