Small size contractors in Malaysia can improve their business success by having strong entrepreneurial competencies and business networks. These competencies include personal, ethical, technical, management, learning, and opportunity skills. Building social, entrepreneurial, and inter-organizational networks also plays a significant role in their success. This was shown in a study of 368 small size contractors in 2014, indicating that these factors positively impact their business outcomes.
