Wastewater-Purifying Plants Offer Sustainable Solution for Campus Water Crisis
Constructed wetlands using different plants were tested to treat campus wastewater. The study aimed to compare the efficiency of Phragmites Austrails and Canna Indica in removing pollutants like COD, BOD, TS, TSS, TDS, and Phosphate. The wetland model used sand and gravel as bed media and had suitable outlets. Results showed that both plants were effective in treating wastewater, with Phragmites Austrails showing better performance in pollutant removal at different retention times.
