Raigad Mangroves Facing Destruction Due to Urbanization Threats.
The study looked at mangroves in Raigad District, Maharashtra, India, which are threatened by human activities. Using Google Earth Pro images and on-site observations, researchers found that the mangrove area decreased slightly from 2005 to 2015, from 103.80 km2 to 88.09 km2. The mangroves are at risk due to urbanization, which could lead to their destruction.
