Population concentration drives economic growth in metropolitan and city regions.
The study looked at how population concentration affects economic growth in different types of regions in Sweden. They used data from 1987 to 2006 and found that in metropolitan and city regions, having more people living close together leads to higher economic growth. This suggests that cities with lots of people and businesses tend to grow faster than rural areas.
