The article looks at how innovation happens in different parts of Europe and how it spreads between regions. They found that factors like research spending, economic performance, and clustering of businesses all play a role in innovation. They also discovered that innovative activity in one region can influence innovation in nearby regions, showing that knowledge creation doesn't happen in isolation.
