Paper Summary

The article discusses how focusing on changing business processes can improve the success of implementing ERP systems. By looking at ERP implementation through a Business Process Management lens, the study found that the first four phases of BPM align well with ERP implementation frameworks. Process modeling was identified as a key activity that enables successful ERP implementation. Comparing Critical Success Factors for ERP and BPM, it was found that both target similar aspects of operational business processes.
