The article discusses poverty alleviation policies in Tanzania from 1980 to 2013. Three main clusters of policies have been implemented to reduce poverty: increasing economic growth, improving access to basic services, and enhancing institutional capacity and governance. Despite these efforts, Tanzania still faces challenges in reducing poverty.
