The article examines why international equity funds in Malaysia have different expense ratios. They found that funds with high sales charges and frequent trading tend to have higher expenses. However, factors like fund size and age don't seem to affect the expense ratio. This means that investors should pay attention to sales charges, turnover ratio, and investment objectives when choosing international funds to maximize their returns.
