The article discusses how Bulgarian companies are facing new challenges in project management to boost their growth and competitiveness. The main goal is to develop a methodology for Project Portfolio Management to help industrial companies in Bulgaria. The researchers aim to systematize theoretical research results to explore the application of this methodology. The key findings suggest that strategic opportunities and project objectives need to be identified to enhance the competitive potential of companies and the economy as a whole.
