Maximizing Fodder Yield: Intercropping System Boosts Green Fodder Production & Profit
A study was done to find the best way to grow different crops together for more fodder. They tried different combinations and found that growing sorghum with cowpea in a 2:1 ratio gave the most green fodder, nutrients, and money. Maize with cowpea in a 2:1 ratio also worked well for nutrients. Overall, mixing sorghum with cowpea in a 2:1 ratio was the most successful for high yields and profits.
