Optimizing maize growth and yield with nitrogen doses and planting densities.
The study aimed to find the best nitrogen doses and planting densities for growing maize in Nagaland without irrigation. Applying 80 kg of nitrogen per hectare led to higher maize growth and the best yields. Planting maize at a density of 55,555 plants per hectare with specific spacing resulted in the highest grain yield. However, using a higher planting density of 74,074 plants per hectare was better for getting more maize stover.
