Job satisfaction vs. leadership: Perception gaps challenge organizational success.
Understanding how people behave in organizations is crucial for organizational success. A recent study looked at how employees and supervisors perceive different behaviors within organizations. The study found that there are differences in perception between subordinates and supervisors. Job satisfaction was seen as the most important micro organizational behavior, while organizational design was seen as the most important macro organizational behavior. Supervisors valued leadership the most, while subordinates valued job satisfaction the most. These findings suggest that there is a gap in how organizational behavior is perceived, and closing this gap could lead to improved individual and organizational performance.
