Cultured red sea bream meat richer in key nutrients than wild fish.
The study compared the nitrogen compounds in the meat of farmed and wild red sea bream. Farmed fish had less amino acids like taurine, lysine, and glutamic acid, but more histidine than wild fish. Fish fed moist pellets had more specific amino acids than those fed sardines. Fish raised in marifarms had higher levels of certain amino acids compared to fish in net cages and wild fish.
