The Shuangtaihekou Wetland in China is not in good health, with an ecosystem health index of 0.646, indicating a sub-health level. Only about a quarter of the ecosystem is in excellent health, while a significant portion is in morbid or severe condition. The researchers used a Pressure-state-response assessment model and analytic hierarchy process to assess the wetland's health status.
