New concrete mix reduces shrinkage, improving durability and longevity of structures.
The study looked at how adding a shrinkage-reducing agent (SRA) and polypropylene fiber (PPF) affects ceramsite concrete (CC). When SRA is added alone, it reduces self-shrinkage and drying shrinkage in CC. PPF alone also reduces shrinkage, but not as much as SRA. When both SRA and PPF are added together, they significantly reduce shrinkage in CC.
