Non-resident insurers trusted more than local insurers in Ukraine.
The article discusses the activities of insurance and reinsurance intermediaries in Ukraine. It compares how these intermediaries work with both local and foreign insurers and reinsurers. The study shows that individuals and companies in Ukraine tend to trust non-resident insurers and reinsurers more. It also highlights that different types of insurance contracts are more commonly handled by either local or foreign intermediaries. For example, health and accident insurance contracts with Ukrainian insurers are more common, while liability and property insurance contracts with non-resident insurers are more prevalent. Additionally, reinsurance contracts with non-resident reinsurers are more common in obligatory and property insurance sectors.
