Toxicity of textile wastewater drastically reduced, allowing safe reuse in dyeing.
The researchers tested a new method to treat wastewater from textile dyeing processes. They found that the treated wastewater could be reused for dyeing with good results. The new method reduced the amount of organic material and salt in the water, as well as the water consumption. However, the treated wastewater was more toxic to water fleas compared to the raw wastewater.
