The article discusses how individualism and collectivism can work together in social work, especially in Romania's transition from communism to democracy. It argues that both perspectives can coexist and complement each other in social work practices. The key idea is that social work today values both individualism and collectivism, integrating them to create a more effective system of social solidarity.
