New chickpea varieties promise stable high yields in western Ethiopia.
The study aimed to find stable and high-yielding chickpea varieties for western Ethiopia. They used GGE biplot and AMMI model to analyze how different genotypes performed in various environments. The results showed that Natoli variety and DZ-2012-CK-20113-2-0042 advanced lines had the best grain yield and stability across different locations. These varieties are recommended for wider production in Ethiopia.
