Monitoring evapotranspiration and energy fluxes in a semiarid region in Algeria is important for agriculture. Researchers used satellite images and a model called METRIC to estimate evapotranspiration. They found that METRIC accurately predicted evapotranspiration without needing lots of complex data. This model can help predict water use in agricultural areas with limited information.
