Computer-based design analysis is crucial for engineering projects, but collaboration between designers and analysts can be challenging. To improve efficiency, a new approach was developed to integrate design analysis and engineering design processes. By analyzing how information flows between these processes, a clear map of interactions was created. This approach was successfully applied to an industrial project, showing that better integration leads to more effective and efficient engineering design and product development.
