Uncovering Hidden Drivers of Water Clarity Patterns in Lakes Across Ecosystems
The study looked at patterns in lake water clarity over 22-25 years in 601 lakes to understand how they change over time and space. They found that the clarity of water in lakes does not follow a specific pattern across large areas. The factors affecting water clarity in lakes are different from those influencing how clarity changes over time. This research helps us understand how lakes behave on a large scale and the complex relationships between space and time in ecosystems.
