History is not just one story, but many stories that can be interpreted in different ways. Local Action Groups in Czechia use history to create a sense of unity among people in their regions. Some groups actively use history, while others do so to a limited extent. The study found that these groups reinterpret history in three main ways: as regional pride, critical reflection, or reconciliation.
