Fractal theory is used to study porous rocks, focusing on fractal dimensions. A new method is developed to calculate fractal dimensions of pore space in porous media based on pore size distribution. This method links fractal dimensions to pore size distribution, allowing for direct calculation. The method is tested on sandstone samples and Micro-CT images, showing a self-similar fractal range in sandstone excluding smaller pores.
