The study looked at how strategic planning is used for decision-making by professionals in Brazil. They compared public and private sector workers to see if there were differences in how they viewed and used strategic planning. The results showed that while both groups valued strategic planning, there were significant differences in how they applied it to decision-making. Public sector professionals had less understanding of the usefulness of strategic planning for decision-making compared to their private sector counterparts. This suggests that there are challenges in using strategic planning effectively in public organizations in Brazil.
