Revolutionize Farming: New Methods Boost Nutrient Uptake in Finger Millet
The study looked at different ways of farming finger millet to see how it affects the nutrients in the soil and the plants. They tested three types of tillage (how the soil is prepared) and five types of conservation farming methods. The results showed that summer ploughing increased nitrogen and phosphorus in the soil, while minimum tillage helped with soil moisture. Summer ploughing also led to higher nitrogen uptake in the plants, while minimum tillage had higher phosphorus uptake. Overall, the way the soil is prepared can impact the nutrients available to the plants, affecting their growth and health.
