Poultry manure boosts growth of common carp fingerlings in new study.
A study was done to see how different fertilizers affect the growth and survival of young common carp fish. They were put in tanks with cow dung, poultry manure, or compost added regularly. The fish in the poultry manure tank grew the most and had the highest survival rate. The fish in the cow dung tank grew the least. The researchers found that adding poultry manure at a certain rate every 7 days is best for helping common carp grow well and stay healthy.
