Optimizing fertilizer and planting density boosts waxy wheat yield significantly.
The study looked at how different amounts of fertilizer and planting density affect the growth and yield of waxy wheat. They found that using 300 kg of fertilizer per hectare and planting 1.8 million plants per hectare resulted in the highest grain yield of 4961.61 kg per hectare. Increasing fertilizer led to higher yield and photosynthesis, but too much decreased the yield. Similarly, increasing planting density increased yield and photosynthesis, but too many plants decreased the yield. The best combination for high waxy wheat yield was 300 kg of fertilizer per hectare and 1.8 million plants per hectare.
