Installing blinds on the outside of buildings can improve energy efficiency and visual comfort. A new louver system with special coated glass was tested to reduce heat gain while maintaining daylight and views. Compared to other systems, this louver system resulted in the lowest temperature increase in rooms and on surfaces.
