Plum cultivars could boost fruit production and quality in Belgrade region
The study looked at 14 plum varieties in Belgrade over five years. They found that different varieties flowered in April and ripened in August. Some varieties had higher yields and fruit quality than others. The "Mildora" variety had the highest yield, while "Valor" had the heaviest fruit. Overall, "Mildora" and "Valor" were recommended for fresh eating, while "Jojo" and "Vengerka krupna slatka" were good for both eating and processing.
